in newspaper container. Do not put string or brown

in with the newspapers - this constitutes the "Maine
Mix". Please, no manila envelopes or file folders,
no plastic or junk mail |

and Aluminum Cans |
| Clean
and place in the plastic bins. Labels may be left

milk jugs and other #2 plastics only may be placed
in plastic bin. NO YOGURT CONTAINERS. |

and place in plastic bins. NO WINDOW GLASS, POTTERY

Cardboard |
| Corrugated
cardboard must be cut into pieces no larger than
3' x 3'. Please flatten boxes. Place in cardboard
container. No boxboard. PLEASE REMEMBER TO REMOVE
ALL STYROFOAM OR OTHER PACKING MATERIAL. |
Brush |
| Homeowners
may bring brush. No leaves or grass cuttings. |

Rechargeable Batteries |

2 lbs may be dropped off with the attendant for
free recycling. |
Tires
Under 16" Without Rims |
| Two
rimless tires under 16" in diameter may be
dropped off at the transfer station per household
per week at $1/tire. |

White
Goods |
Old
metal white goods : stoves, refrigerators, water heaters, washing machines,
dryers, air conditioners and freezers, that DO NOT CONTAIN FREON may
be taken to Gene Newton in Belmont. Call first
342-5306. |
Clothing |
Old
clothing can be dropped off during store hours at
the Thrift Shop on High Street in Belfast or at Goodwill in Rockland, Augusta, or Bangor. |
Batteries
and Motor Oil |
Batteries,
Motor Oil and Transmission Fluids may be taken to
Totman Enterprises on New England Road. Call to
make arrangements for dropoff at 342-4346.
DO
NOT DROP OFF IN YARD WITHOUT PERMISSION. Motor oil and transmission fluids must be free of
contaminents. Batteries cannot be leaking fluid.
