MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

The following are required for the first time registration of a new or new-to-you (used) vehicle:

DEALER SALE

• TITLE APPLICATION from the dealer
• Green SALES TAX FORM
• WINDOW STICKER if it is a new vehicle
• Proof of current INSURANCE on the new vehicle
• Current MILEAGE

PRIVATE SALE

• TITLE (if 1995 or newer) properly completed on the back by the seller & buyer (No erasures, white-out, or cross outs) or blue copy of Certificate of Title application completed by the financing institution, if financed.
• BILL OF SALE including: Name & address of seller & buyer, vehicle year/make/model/VIN, mileage, and purchase price
• Proof of current INSURANCE on the new vehicle 
• Current MILEAGE
• Sales tax is paid at the time of registration (5% of purchase price)

All owners must sign the title application if a title is required.  If your name is on the bill of sale, you must be here to sign if a title application is required.

At least one perons on the title must by on the registration.

At least one person on the registration must be here to sign the registration.
