June 2009:  Construction began on the Mill Bridge over the St. George River in Searsmont Village.  This construction raised and widened the road, added a sidewalk, and changed the intersection of New England Road and Route 131, removing the island.

December 2009--Bridge construction halted for the winter and will resume in the Spring.

April 2010--Bridge work resumed and was completed in early June 2010.
