Cemetery Committee

The Cemetery Committee oversees operation of the Cemeteries and works cooperatively with the Sexton to plan maintenance and restoration activities, oversee the budget, and mark the sites of Veteran's graves for Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.

Donations Committee

The Donations Committee is a volunteer group who review and clarify donation requests received from service organizations prior to Town Meeting, and make recommendations for the level of donation to be voted upon by the voters at Town Meeting.

Parade Committee

The Parade Committee is responsible for planning and implementation of the annual Memorial Day Parade.  They are always looking for assistance with the planning, and for personnel on parade day to help set up the parade order, manage traffic, and manage the flow of the parade.  If you are interested in helping, contact the town office at 342-5411.

Scholarship Committee

The Scholarship Committee is a group of three townspeople who review and select the recipient of the Searsmont Scholarship each year.

Solid Waste Committee

The Solid Waste Committee review Transfer Station operations and options, and make recommendations regarding methods to improve function and recycling.
