September 16, 2008
1. Call to Order: 7:00p.m.
2. Attendance: Vice Chair: Paul
Leeper, Jack Degraff, Peter Jolliffe, and Steve Porter.
3. Minutes: Review of September 2,
2008. Motion made, seconded and passed to
Accept minutes with minor
corrections.
4. Applications and Requests: None
5. Communications: Paul followed up with his conversation
regarding the new mapping of Fresh water Wetland zoning that was presented to
the town of Searsmont, By Rich Baker. Paul had expressed concerns over the
larger new territories that were added to the map to Rich Baker and he is
willing to come down and have a look for himself regarding Little Pond and
other areas of concern.
6. Old Business: The Boards review of
the States update of the Shoreland
Zoning, as of yet, shows two significant
changes in section 900, which include two new districts; a General
Development District and a Commercial Development District in
Shoreland zoning. These additions do not need to be added, if the Town of
Searsmont so desires. There will be
further discussions on the States D.E.P model Ordinance.
7. New business: The new maps on the
states proposed Fresh Water Wetlands were reviewed by the Board, and they
decided to continue the scrutiny of them in proceeding meetings. There is a
need to have contour and topography
added to them to give better affirmation of what the land is. This will
help in guiding the Board through the re-mapping process.
8. Adjournment: 8:00 pm
