Planning Board Minutes

January 6, 2009

1. Call to Order: 7:00pm

2 Attendance: Vice Chair: Paul Leeper, Dave Marceau,

Jack Degraff, Peter Jolliffe and Steve Porter. Brief attendance by Bruce Brierly.

3. Minutes: review of December 3rd and December 16th minutes.

Motion made, seconded and passed unanimously to accept.

4. Applications and requests: None

5. Communications:

Paul is still working on the new text of our Ordinance to send Lee, George, and the selectmen.

Rich Baker will be contacted toexplain to the Board of the process of notification to property owners who will be affected by the Zoning changes.

6. Mapping committee: Paul Leeper, Peter Jolliffe, and Dave Marceau of the

mapping committee will have all maps and Ordinance updates to present to the public by

January 20, 2009.

7. Old Business:

Review of the town office schedule was done and the board set a date for an informational hearing to be held on February 17, 2009 at 7:00p.m. to discuss changes to the Land Use Ordinance. The DEP will have resources to distribute regarding the state mandated changes. A Town Public Hearing will follow on February 25, 2009 at 7:00pm.

Discussions on the Land Use Ordinance changes and Shoreland Zoning took place.

Motion made, seconded, and passed unanimously to remove the clauses in the of Land Use Ordinances, of piers, docks, wharfs and bridges from being town regulated by the Code enforcement Officer.

8. New Business:

Discussions on the Laws that govern public notice of Shoreland Land Use regulation changes/amendments were held. The Board discussed what time frames were allowed for posting dates for an informational meeting and public hearing prior to Town meeting on March 28, 2009.
