Planning Board Minutes
January 16, 2007
1. Call to Order: 7:00 p.m.
2. Attendance: Chair: George Sprowl, Vice Chair: Paul Leeper,
Peter
Jolliffe, Jack Degraff, Steve Porter
and a Special presentation by Bruce Brierley.
3. Review of Application and Requests:
None
4. Minutes: review of January 2, 2007
minutes.
Motion made, seconded, and passed
unanimously with minor corrections.
5. Communications:
The
representatives from Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline were here to
discuss:
The impact of its
proposed transfer station on the New England Road site.
The Representatives were:
Kelly Bode from
Verrill Dana, Attorneys at law.
Bill Welch the
Project Manager.
Keith Boyle
the right of way specialists and
Gus McLaughlin the
Environmental Manager.
Conversations
took place on the safety, regulations, materials, and protection of the
pipeline, the environment, and the Searsmont residents. The representatives
assured the planning Board that no noise
will be heard from the outside of the building.
All Questions that the Planning Board had were answered. Maritimes and
Northeast Pipeline will begin work on its pipeline site on the New England
Road, Searsmont Maine on June 1, 2007.

7. Old Business:
Paul presented his application for minor/major
Site Plan Review with new
changes to it. More improvements will be
made to it and be re-presented at the
next meeting in February.
Discussions took place on formulating a Town Flood Hazard
Application,
looking at FEMAS as a guideline. Planning
Board Members will look more
closely at its relation to our ordinances,
find the correlations and submit them.
