Planning Board Minutes
January 15, 2008
1. Call to Order: 7:00 p.m.
2. Attendance: Chair: George
Sprowl, Vice Chair: Paul Leeper, Peter Jolliffe, Jack
Degraff, David
Marceau, Steve Porter.
3. Applications and Requests:
Arlo
Redman, from Landworks LLC., a general contractor, represented Joseph Dutuam
(owner) of Brimstone Management. This application is for the Consolidation of
properties and a change in the road at 20 Bernard Road, Map 7 lot 52. . Frank
Therio, the Code enforcement Officer, will not be present at this meeting but
has verified all maps and diagrams and has put all pertinent information in
George’s mailbox.
After
careful review of the Application and proposed changes to the property the
Planning Board set for the following contingencies:
Motion
made to approve plan with the
following conditions:
1. Re-pitch the driveway that falls within the 100 foot flood plain
with a Plunge pool. Also,
within the 100 foot normal high water
line, the road shall be sloped ˝
inch per foot, away from the lake.
2. The proposed drive/travel way will be reduced
to a 12 foot wide road.
3. A statement from a professional engineer will
be needed, to state that the erosion and
Sedimentation control within 100 feet is
adequate.
Motion
seconded, and passed with 4 yea
and with David Marceau sustaining.
4. Minutes: review of
last meetings, will table until next meeting.
5. Communications:
None
6. Old Business:
Section 800, Shoreland Zoning, in the
towns ordnance, was reviewed by the Planning Board. The
focus was on a new map of the inland
waterfowl and wading bird habitat that
was presented by the
State,
to and of the Town of Searsmont. Some sections have changed and further
discussions will
take place
before holding a Special informational Town Meeting on the changes and
what they
may mean to Shoreland Zoning.
The question of weather to post or not to
post the Planning Board Minute’s online,
was deemed
necessary
by the town officials.
