Town Office Closure
The Searsmont Town Office will be closed he morning of February 1st, Wednesday, to enable to office staff to complete the procedures necessary to close out the fiscal year. The office will reopen from 1-6 p.m.
DOG LICENSE DEADLINE LOOMING!
January 31 is the last day to register your dog to avoid the $25.00 PER DOG late fee whaich applies effective February 1st. This late fee is mandated by state law, and is not negotiable, License fees remain $11.00 for male/female; or $6.00 for neutered or spayed. A current valid rabies vaccination is required--check with the town office if you are unsure if you need a new vaccination. Don't delay--register your dog(s) now.
Tax Deadline
January 31st is the last day to pay outstanding taxes to avoid having the name of the property owners being printed in the Town Report, in accordance with state law.
